Its for an online loan. Thats how they get your number. Then they will say you owe them money and if you dont pay you will be arrested. They even went as far as to say they were coming to my house and chopping off my girlfriends head. But they wont and its just a scam to scare you to pay them money you dont owe. I have a recording with them saying they are going to put a grenade in my girlfriends mouth.

Claims to be LA Police officer. When asked for their badge number they hung up on me. I immediately contacted LAPD Internal Affairs. They called the number and agree that it is definitely not an LAPD officer.

THIS NUMBER HAS CALLED MY JOB AND CELL THREATENS TO COME TO MY JOB AND HOME TO ARREST. SAID I NEED A LAWYER AND CALLED ME ALL KIND OF NAMES. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE POLICE.

Called saying I had a criminal complaint and was going to have a warrant issued. When I tried calling back, I kept getting hung up on. Searched the number and found several complaints. Scammers!

CALLED SAYING THERE WAS WARRENT ISSUED FOR MY ARREST. THEY CALLED ABOUT 3 TIMES. I TOOK OUT ONE LOAN THAT WAS PAYED BACK IN FULL AND I HAVE PROOF. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS. DONT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION

Called, has foreign accent, said I needed to call or have my retainer attorney call and need to call now. Said if I don't he wishes me luck as the situation unfolds on me. I tried to call back to find out who it was and to curse them out but picks up and hangs up. I will be filing a NY Attorney General Complaint as well.

called me regarding old loan stating there would be a warrant issued for my arrest with local police and he searched my credit and saw i never have had any legal actions against me, tried to get me to pay him $498 by giving my bank info or purchase a card at cvs, walgreens kmart and send him the money within 1 hr

Telling me that There is a warrant out for my arrest on fraudulent banking charges. wanted me to go to Walmart or Wallgreens and send them a money Pack for $496.22 and then call back with the number. I went straight to the local police department and filed a report. They did a little digging and said it was a scam. Then the number called me back to see if I did the money thing I told them that the local police wanted to speak to them. They hung up.

Someone from this number calls claiming to have "a serious legal issue concerning you." Apparently -- from the line of questioning -- he's interested in getting you to say the word "yes." Do not fall for it. When you refuse to say "yes," he threatens you. In my case he tried telling me that he had some friends that live here. "Very large men."
